Better Health - Losing Weight (Information for Professionals)
On January 4th 2022, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is launching the latest instalment of the ‘Better Health’ campaign which will be encouraging adults to achieve, and maintain, a healthier weight, eat better and get active.
The campaign aims to encourage adults to make positive changes to their health, and highlights the risks associated with excess weight that will motivate people to take action.
Those identified as carrying excess weight (63% of adult population) are at an increased risk of serious diseases such as type 2 diabetes and heart diseases, and of being seriously ill with COVID-19.
