Health Checks in Buckinghamshire

What is an NHS Health Check?

It is a health check up for adults aged 40 -74. It helps spot the early warning signs of stroke, heart disease, type 2 diabetes and dementia. As we get older our risk of developing health problems increase, a health check can help us lower this risk.

What happens during my Health Check?

Your height, weight, blood pressure and cholesterol measurements will be taken. You will also be asked questions about your lifestyle. Your advisor will also talk you through your results and explain what to do next.

Live Well Stay Well has split the traditional 30 minute appointment into 2 parts to reduce contact time due to Covid-19. The physical measurements are taken during a 15 minute appointment and this is followed up by a 15 minute appointment over the phone where you will answer lifestyle questions and discus your results.
