The Buckinghamshire Winter Campaign has Launched: #HelpUsHelpYou.

Winter can put a lot of strain on our services. That’s why the ICS partners: Buckinghamshire County Council, Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group, Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, FedBucks and South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust have launched a joined up winter campaign, helping people stay fit and healthy over the winter.

The campaign focusses mostly on four key messages:

  • Flu immunisation- Get your flu jab!
  • Extended GP access- GP’s are now open for longer
  • NHS 111- Now able to make you appointments and offer more help than ever before
  • Pharmacy- Pharmacies should be your first stop as soon as you start to feel ill, head off your illness before it becomes more serious!

One of the most effective ways of members of the community helping more vulnerable residents is through being a good neighbour. When asked if there’s any way to help others by your customers, a good resource is the Be A Good Neighbour scheme, with details here: https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/services/care-for-adults/be-a-good-neighbour/

The partners will be putting out communications around these issues and others over Christmas and into the new year. Please look out for them and amplify where you can, adding messages to your digi screens, retweeting @buckccgs posts, or sharing material you see on Facebook.
