New PHE Heart Age App launches

New PHE Heart Age App launches

Do you know your heart age? Get to know your heart age by taking a free online, ‘Heart Age Test’, which asks physical and lifestyle related information, as well as blood pressure and cholesterol, and determines if your heart is at a higher age than your actual age.

Having a heart age older than your actual age means that you are at a higher risk of having a heart attack or stroke, which are the two main forms of cardiovascular disease. It is estimated that over 50 deaths a day from these conditions could be prevented if people had a better understanding of their heart health.

The Heart Age Test has been completed 1.9 million times so far and four out of five of those have a heart age higher than their chronological age. Click below to find out your heart age.

If you don’t know your “numbers” for cholesterol or for your blood pressure and are between the ages 40 – 74 years, then speak to your GP about booking a NHS Health Check or register on LWSW here and book a community check.
